Fashion Week Spring 2010: Dolce & Gabbana Handbags
Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010 was goth, glam and very Victorian, but you wouldn’t know it from looking at the bags. They lacked some of the personality and style of the clothes with which they were designed, but they were sort of interesting in their own right. Whatever way you slice it, however, knit and macrame do not say glam, goth, or Victorian.
The highlights for me were the variations on the successful Miss Sicily satchel shape and anything containing red leopard print (I know, I know, my “taste level” is not so awesome sometimes). Lowlights? Knit, knit, and more knit. Much like the clear vinyl totes that Prada showed earlier in the week, I can’t imagine that these are going to have much of an audience among handbag aficionados, but perhaps I’m wrong. Would you pay four figures for them?

MFW: Versace Spring/Summer 2010
Although usually the designer works to make pieces good for grown-ups, this time she decided to create for those who look younger, that has been a trend with designers for some time. It’s just that Donatella shows her own opinion of how young people should look like. These are not only too short skirts and sheer materials which are often visible in other designers’ collections but something else, more significant.

Versace was able to make pieces interesting for modern youngsters – stylish, innovative but still very classy and feminine. Vivid pastels, geometric prints, baroque curlicues, super-short skirts, diverse materials and elaborate combinations of fabrics make the colelction look fresh and sumptuous.

PFW: Valentino Spring-Summer 2010
Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli created a fabulous collection for Spring-Summer 2010 which was presented during the Paris Fashion Week.
The designer duo decided it was time to give the brand a new image and what we saw in the result was far different from the collection showcased last season. While creating the line designers had a new Valentino generation in mind – the one that loves party dresses and feels right wearing a sheer trend.

Vuitton
Missoni
Kenzo
Leonard
Just Cavalli
Antonio Marras
Acquascutum
Mais moi, pour ma part, pour un style qui délure...je préfère adopter ce style des égéries rock des années 70...tout une ambiance, toute une allure qui nous entraîne dans un souffle de liberté !!
